Our players come from some of the top Elite AAA Youth Hockey organizations on the East Coast. After the long delay the staff then identified a list of the top 50 players for our final combine evaluation at West Edmonton Mall in late March 2022. The team will play in the Toronto Invitational (April), the Boston Showdown (May) and the Icebreaker tournament (June) prior to heading to Edmonton. These highly skilled, enthusiastic players await their chance to compete in Edmonton and to create life-long friendships and memories. We will make every effort to represent our province to the best of our abilities. The Boston Bruins have acquired Tyler Bertuzzi from the Detroit Red Wings, according to a person with knowledge of the trade. The majority will be scrimmaging. The combine consisted of small area games, team practices skill practices, positional practices, team building and games. As last summer, this high level of competition will allow these young players to display their talents in a healthy and exciting atmosphere, which will improve their skills and confidence. Our staff scouts youth games each season and our selections are based on ongoing evaluations at those games, our tryouts, camps, and trusted, independent sources. Those 35 players will train and practice together in (possibly February) March, April, and early May. The combine gave the staff the ability to evaluate the players in all environments that we feel are conducive to build a successful team.
