Pressnote on Election of Chairman and Vice-chairman to the Bar Council dated 05-04-2024
In view of resignation of Shri Ghanta Rama Rao and Sri Kirti Ramajogeswara Rao, for the posts of Chairman and Vice-Chairman of the Bar Council of A.P, Notification is issued on 01-04-2024 for conducting Elections under the supervision of Sri Aluri Rami Reddy, Member, Bar Council of India. As per the Notification, filing of nominations are fixed on 05-04-2024, Friday and Election is scheduled on 06-04-2024, Saturday.
Today, i.e. on 05-04-2024, Shri Nallari Dwarakanatha Reddy and Siripurapu Krishna Mohan, alone have filed nominations for the posts of Chairman and Vice-Chairman, respectively. Consequently, Shri Aluri Rami Reddy has declared that they have been elected to the Office of the Chairman and Vice-Chairman of theBar Council of A.P.
Therefore, Shri Nallari Dwarakanatha Reddy and Siripurapu Krishna Mohan have been elected today for the posts of Chairman and Vice-Chairman of the Bar Council of Andhra Pradesh, respectively.

Press Note on Matching Grant released by Government of Andhra Pradesh
The Government of Andhra Pradesh has released an amount of Rs. 1,36,00,000/- (Rupees One Crore Thirty Six Lakhs) in pursuant of the G.O.Rt. No.97 dt. 23-03-2021 towards “Matching Grant”. From the said “Grant” an amount of Rs. 4,00,000/- will be released to first 34 families of the deceased advocates, who expired after 22-01-2019, in addition to Rs. 4,00,000/-, already granted by the “A.P. Advocates Welfare Fund Committee”. On behalf of the Bar Council, I express my heartfelt thanks to Sri Y.S.Jagan Mohan Reddy Garu, Hon’ble Chief Minister, Government of Andhra Pradesh & the Learned Advocate-General and all others, who played a Role in getting the amount released.
Press Note on Launching of Insurance Policies to the Advocates on the Rolls of Bar Council of Andhra Pradesh dt. 30-12-2020
The Special Committee constituted under Government Grant, consisting of Sri S.Sriram, the Learned Advocate-General & Chairman of the Special Committee, Sri Ghanta Rama Rao, Chairman, Bar Council of A.P., Sri Y.Nagi Reddy, Sri P.Raviguvera and Sri G.Vasudeva Rao, Members, Bar Council, have finalized the proposal for issuance of the Group Medi-claim & Personal Accident Policy, to the Advocates on the Rolls of the Bar Council of State of Andhra Pradesh and entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with M/s. United India Insurance Company Ltd., on 30-12-2020.
